1/5/2023 2:54:00 PM - Hi HPRPHF - if it's helpful, you can tell the time the bottle was disgorged by looking for the letter/numbers stamp on the side of the cork. The letter (A, B, C or D) tells you which quarter of the year; the two numbers should be reversed to tell you the year. Thus, B 61 indicates the second quarter of 2016. Hope this helps give you some perspective on bottle age. Also, I agree with allowing the Champagne to breathe (usually several minutes of slo-ox) like any other wine.
