Tuesday, February 26, 2013 - A bit tight on opening up, had to let it sit in the glasses for about 30 min or so. Color was reasonable, a mix between ruby and purple, but not as much color as maybe a traditional merlot. The nose after it opened up showed dark fruit and some earthness. Palate had dark cherry and blackberry. The wine has integrated reasonably well, not overly hot with alcohol and it finishes nicely. Still slightly tart, and I don't think its going to get better with age, definitely a drink it now wine at this point.
