Wednesday, December 25, 2013 - Opening up pretty quickly now, poured and within 15min or so you felt like the wine was what is was going to be. Confirmed with the second glass poured about 45min later, no perceptible change to the wine, palate wise.
Color was reasonable, a mix between ruby and purple, but not as much color as maybe a traditional merlot. The nose after it opened up showed dark fruit and some earthiness. Palate had dark cherry and blackberry. The wine has integrated reasonably well, not overly hot with alcohol and it finishes nicely. Still slightly tart, and I don't think its going to get better with age, definitely a drink it now wine at this point.
