Tuesday, December 29, 2009 - Very nice rich Bordeaux-ish wine, which I would have thought was Merlot-based Tuscan wine if I didn't know better. However, this doesn't have nearly the character of the 2001, nor does it have the quite the concentration or the specific Cab-franc notes (without the green) that the '01 shows. However, it's certainly an enjoyable, lush wine with New World "crossover" appeal.
