Friday, August 13, 2010 - Solid Napa Cabernet and a great value. This is definitely a step up from recent vintages; the 05 having too much of a black olive taste, the 06 too monolithic and fruity. This one is balanced. Not overly complex, but balanced and just plain solid. Reminiscent of a cross between the 04 vintage in Napa and the 05...opulent but structured. Will develop over time but definitely drinkable now if you like all of the upfront fruit.
