Tuesday, November 9, 2010 - 15.5% ABV. Dark garnet, opaque in the glass. Rich smelling with a slight note of vanilla. Cedar and currant fruit with a slight brooding port-like quality. Perhaps a bit of meatiness to boot. Full bodied with black currant and black berry fruit on the palate. Big and a little port-like, but this is pretty interesting Cabernet for the money. I can understand why it might not appeal to some. 90-91ish.
