Sunday, December 19, 2010 - This wine was splash-decanted and serially tasted over the ensuing several hours on a cold, rainy Christmas-season Sunday afternoon/evening. My impression is similar to that of 10/22/10. This is a perfect example of why most tasters (especially non-oenophiles, who comprise the majority) prefer Napa Valley Cabernet to Bordeaux and other old-world wines. This wine has beautiful ripe fruit, low acidity and sweet tannins. I AM an oenophile, Francophile and Bordeaux fanatic, yet I still cannot deny the hedonism of this beautiful wine, which is priced equally beautiful. Drink now-12/17.
