Sunday, March 20, 2011 - Nice bottle of wine. Notes of ripe blackberry with hints of cassis, balanced by a gentle touch of toasted oak. Nice acidity and relatively firm tannins soften with time...a bit of heat on initial open blows off. This really comes together with air, but for my palate is lacking the complexity and balance of prior vintages. Still an excellent wine, not to mention a thrifty buy.

Drink now and over the next six years. 88+
