Sunday, April 24, 2011 - First, the 2007 Cabernets from California are hard to beat. Was a little skeptical of a Mondavi, but it was pretty good. Dark garnet in color, there is black cherry and plum on the nose. Fruit on the palate, and velvety smooth at this price point. We enjoyed this (quite a bit) with chocolate cake (with chocolate iciing).
