Thursday, August 25, 2011 - Clear dark inky fuschia-garnet. Decanted and served. Initially the bouquet showed muted, stewed fruit with sharp notes of grilled meat and shoe polish. But after two hours this finally gave way to a nice profile of sweet black plums and blackberries with red licorice and extinguished campfire. Paired well with grilled rack of lamb. Give this at least a 2 hour decant.
