Wednesday, October 18, 2017 - The 1995 Flaccianello della Pieve shows crushed black cherry, brown spices, sweet herbs and a hint of olive. This boasts soft textures with a mix of red and black fruits, and mature tannin. There is something missing on the mid-palate, yet this is beautiful for a 25 year-old wine. It finishes with medium length, residual acids and tart blacks fruits.
