Wednesday, September 9, 2015 - A friend who kept this in a relatively wine friendly closet since release, gifted us this bottle and we are glad he did. This producer is very well renowned for Merlot, and this no exception. Not really a big wine. More on the stylish elegant side. Very typical purple Merlot color. The nose has some mature blueberry, black cherry and well integrated oak. The palate has vanilla enhanced dark fruit with some graphite and tar. The acid is quite mature. Medium plus bodied. A real treat.
