Tuesday, December 24, 2019 - Drank Christmas eve with family matched with roast beef tenderloin and wine reduction sauce. I thought it was the WON, great pairing. Good dark fruit with good acidity, tannins were soft and well integrated. At a great place right now after a decant but will age for another ten years (my guess). So much better than 2004, which always has come across as sharp with insufficient fruit, but interesting to try another bottle to compare to 2006. This is why you have a cellar to see beauties blossom.
