Sunday, July 8, 2012 - Cracked on my wife's 40th. First SQN white. And what a singular white! Like so many of the best wines, this gave you something different every time you went back to the glass. Sometimes like sucking on a hard butterscotch candy, sometimes like breathing in honeysuckle flowers. Thought at first that the sweetness might overpower, but the acidity gave it amazing balance. It is a credit to Manfred Krankl that he can produce wine with such mouthfeel, intensity and balance. A total winner.
