Wednesday, December 20, 2023 - Very nicely developed Bordeaux blend from Napa, comprising Cab, Cab Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The wine is in its prime, but there's no real rush to drink it.

Aromatically, this presents pretty blue violet aromas with meat jus & thyme. The fruit is modestly lush but not overextracted nor overly oaked. The tannins are fine grained & subtle in the finish- but clearly present.

This was very satisfactory with a bacon cheeseburger, and would pair well with NY strip steak, sirloin, or tenderloin. Likely not enough tannin for richer things like ribeye.
