Tuesday, January 21, 2014 - Finally, this 08 is entering its prime. A beautiful wine. Bouquet of fresh cherries, strawberries, minerals, spices. Well structured. Medium purple color. Thick legs, viscous. On the palate it only gets better. The cherries are present, with strawberry preserves following right behind. Flavors of earth, minerals, mushrooms and spices. This is an elegant and silky wine, with tannins integrated and balanced. Although delicious it is only entering its prime. The fruits and tannins should still mature with more time.
