Saturday, August 24, 2019 - Day 1: popped and poured. Consumed 1/2 bottle over two hours. Nose of sappy red and blue fruits. Flavors of ripe red and blue fruits with a sense of sweetness. Moderate complexity/finish. Far too sappy and ripe for my preference. But, seemed like there was some upside so I held back 1/2 bottle. 91.
Day 2: Surprisingly fresh nose (moderate strength) of red/blue fruits with spice. Moderate strength flavors of fresh red/blue fruits with a surprisinging amount of acidity through the mid palate to spice on the lingering tangy finish. Moderate+ complexity/lingering finish. I will wait another 3-5 years (2022+) to try again. Seems to have a surprising amount of upside. 94.
