Friday, November 21, 2014 - This medium garnet wine was among a multitude of "ringers" at a single-blind Central Coast Pinot Noir tasting. From a bottle generously provided by J.P., it fooled no one. Aromatically effusive of wild berries, sandalwood, violets and licorice, it follows with a medium-bodied, fresh palate of similar flavors. The tannins are nearly fully resolved and the alcohol (listed as 13%) is tightly integrated. Solid in the middle, it concludes with a lengthy, balanced aftertaste. This Burgundy is drinking beautifully at this point. It should be at its best over the next five years. Drink now-2019.
