Thursday, January 5, 2012 - Intense red color. Nose is somewhat muted, but strawberry comes through clearly. Pomegranate, red currant, cranberry and then moving to black liquorice on the palate. Beautifully balances tartness, red fruit and acidity. Has the fruitiness of a new world pinot, but lacks the bitter finish sometimes observed at this price point. Quite good.
