90 Points

Sunday, September 6, 2009 - Level 3.5cms below cork and a healthy colour in the bottle. Soft cork came out in one piece. Hints of decay on the nose: bracken, wet dog, caramel and a faint whiff of sherry but this doesn't smell oxidised. Over time it develops a bit of mint too but not a great nose. Better flavour - like a generic old White Burgundy for the first hour but slowly it reveals some nice lemony fruit and it leaves a lingering intensity of flavour in the mouth. Well preserved, a bit one-dimensional but a good wine all the same.
