Thursday, June 14, 2007 - Drank at Archangel, Great World City with the mid-week group. Really good value village. Slightly brownish red, with typically gevrey nose of forest floor and mushrooms, opening up to a silky and extremely balanced and tasty palate with cherry, savoury mushrooms and a hint of steely minerality. Just lacking that bit of complexity, but excellent effort nonetheless, very pure, clear Gevrey. Classy.
