Thursday, April 5, 2012 - After opening the bottle there was a strong scent of burnt wood and smoke. After an hour in the decanter the nose showed the very Pégaü typical elements of dark mature fruits, garrigue and thyme combined with a whiff of stable and wet horse. The palate is medium- to full-bodied and is certainly nicely integrated. I recommend an hour or so of aeration. There is no reason to hold off drinking your 08's, they are just perfect right now.
