Tuesday, December 31, 2013 - Bretty and lots of barnyard at the start. It took two and half hours to come around and reveal some blackberry fruit, lavanda, leather, musty wet earth but the barnyard persists on the finish. Plenty of grip on the finish and acidity has toned down as this has gained weight. Will drink second half tomorrow. Flavia still hates it.
Better on day 2, the barnyard nose has blown off and evolved into saddle leather. Much better fruit presence and still quite tannic. Next bottle will be drank in a couple of years and will decant for 4-5 hours.
