Saturday, March 17, 2018 - Saturated ruby red. A pretty wild nose of smoke, red and blue fruit, asian almost medicinal spice, game and garrigue. A friend I was drinking it with said that it reminded her of Chinese pickled fermented cucumber that you put in congee. I had to agree that it did. Great acidity and precise red fruit. Gripping tannins on the back are good but, in the end, on the drying and tough side. Will it get better? Not sure. but it is very good right now.
