91 Points

Monday, July 4, 2016 - Drunk over two nights. Perhaps a little closed initially, which exacerbated the acidity, but the elements integrated nicely over the first hour to reveal a very balanced and well proportioned wine. Lots of pure, vibrant red fruit backed by cherry pit, spices, minerality, marzipan and the faintest lick of oak. Quite light and focused across the palate, but with good intensity for the vintage and level. Slightly sappy. Tannins resolving, but still adding some grip to the finish. Classy juice.
