Thursday, June 2, 2016 - Tight cork, barely tinged at the bottom. Grape-skin purple, with bright reflex. Cellar aromas. Very Serralunga upon opening--dry and austere. Opened nicely after a little while, although never attained the level of other memorable Dolcetto bottlings. Since most of the Dolcetto I've enjoyed the most have been in the Langhe, I remain fairly convinced that Dolcetto is one of those wines best drunk near as possible to its vineyard.
