Sunday, November 6, 2016 - Haven't tasted much petite sirah, so don't have a basis to compare varietal notes or profile. With that caveat, this is an excellent wine. Deep, deep purple color with lots of sediment- opened up beautifully over the course of the evening. Served with penne in a vodka crème sauce, not a bad combo, but will save my second bottle for a grilled NY strip.
