Thursday, May 12, 2011 - Intense concentrated dark fruit nose of currants, , smoke, white pepper, coffee and touch of game. Incredibly concentrated, complex fruit--raspberry, cherry, currants, and plum--with a liquor like quality, but impeccable balance no sense of heat. Leaves with an incredibly long finish of currants, vanilla, coffee, and spice--turning slightly sweet.Very primary and probably needs some time to settle down. Incredible wine in the super concentrated but balanced (SQN) style. Much better than a recent '05 regular Lillian, though from my note I can't tell if I like then better than the regular '06. Certainly much more concentrated and deeper fruit, but at the expense of the meaty-pepper note I love. Will need to try them back-to-back sometime.
