Friday, April 21, 2017 - This was a really excellent addition to the line-up as it beautifully illustrated the difference between the current generation of Fourrier CSJ and the pre-Jean-Marie wines. Though some of the gamy notes were perhaps more easily attributable to the 85 vintage rather than the producer, this was undeniably more rustic than the remainder of the CSJs tonight. Still, the rich, malty, dark pinot fruit was enticing. A bit hard and attenuated on the palate.
