Friday, August 27, 2010 - Popped and poured at a restaurant. This still had a slight tannic bite, but was drinking beautifully. Plenty of that Montus funk (which I love) on the nose, with lots of spice and dark red fruit. Medium to full-bodied, with balanced acidity. While some of the tannins have resolved, the fruit remains vibrant, and the wine is beginning to show some maturity. No need to rush: this should continue to drink well for some time.
