Monday, November 28, 2016 - Fantastic level. Deep garnet to an almost ruby core. Lovely mature Rioja with a vibrancy and depth. Core of mid red fruit, some orange peel and spice, but this is more about the velvety fruit and silky, caressing texture. Opens and develops over a couple of hours with the last glass being the best. Should have decanted. Long, nuanced and complex. Really super. ****1/2
