Sunday, June 2, 2013 - WS Offline (Pastis - Vancouver, BC): Very rich and expressive on the nose showing tons of bacon fat and meat blood, along with some ripe blackberry, olive tapenade, and some herbal notes of rosemary and sage. Good spice as well with some white pepper and floral violet notes coming through. Plenty more bacon and meaty notes on the palate yet this time leaning more red fruited showing cranberries and red currants. Not as rich and lacking the depth on the palate, with tons of tart red fruit compared to the rich black fruit core on the nose. Still very enjoyable, but a bit of a letdown after the promise of the nose. Very good-
