Monday, January 2, 2017 - So I try Merlot occasionally to see if I can claim to like it, this was 15 years young and retailed close to $30 (15 years ago). So when I saw it on close out price I had to try. Good Merlots should hold on and this did. Very nice balanced fruit, not cab-like... how I describe Merlots I like btw. This currently ranks 3rd in my Merlot rankings; Twomey and Burgess have it beat but this was nice and glad I tried al this older varietal ... And I'd guess it probably has only a couple of years left of good drinking with this vintage
