Friday, September 26, 2008 - From a 375 bought at an AMC Internet auction. This is a great wine. Outstanding. Pure clean dark color, fruity cherry/blueberry aroma, palate has cherry, blueberry, pepper, vanilla and a bit of oak. Nice smooth mouth feel. No astringent tannins. Long finish. Last night at an OL, a well known wine writer asked everyone to give one word that exemplified what we liked in a wine. My word was flavorful. This wine qualifies. His word, by the way, was complex and I think this wine also qualifies on that standard as well.
