Friday, January 23, 2015 - Almost 1.5 yrs since danielbleier's note, and not a thing to add. This feels like it's in a nice, solid holding pattern -- could be many years before it hits its next phase. Very aromatic, in a snappy cool-climate style, with a nice juicy, zippy finish, and just a hint of garrique. Definitely tilting more towards the animal meat/blood end of the spectrum, which is not usually what I reach for in CA reds, but that's just preference and takes nothing away from the undeniable quality. A very good buy for fans of Rhone-y, rustic syrah.
