Thursday, March 3, 2016 - Role Reversal Lunch at La Paulée-Dujac Whites (Monts-Luisants) and Lafon Reds (Quince, San Francisco): Magnum. Light yellow. More oak toast on the nose than the others, but this is still quite discrete. More deeply pitched citrus aromas. Light to medium weight but more of a sense of density than the 2010. Intensely citric flavors with rising bitter orange and significant end minerality. Not quite as supple as the 2010, but that is simply a matter of needing more time. Outstanding.

3/15/2016 1:23:00 PM - Glad to see your note. Question I have is have you had any premox issues with Dujac whites? I hear two things: one group says no and others say drink all of them in five years. What is your experience?

3/15/2016 2:00:00 PM - Memorial-I am sorry to say that my experience is limited to the wines poured at this La Paulee luncheon! I don't have any other notes on them from the past decade. These bottles were pristine (some in larger formats) and came directly from the domain's cellars, so I could not begin to extrapolate about what the "real world" experience is with oxidation.
