Wednesday, July 2, 2014 - The fruit has aged fairly well with some earthy tobacco elements emerging, cassis and oaky vanilla are evident but not too obnoxious. But then there's the finish, which was quite hot and actually burned the back of my palate. The wine was substantially better at cooler temps (<60F) because of this. I'd drink these up sooner than later before the fruit fades further and leaves the alcohol bare.
