Friday, November 16, 2012 - Nose is extremely complex; mostly spicy but with this fascinating almost cool, menthol note to it. On the palate it is extremely silky with more of a red fruit profile. Of the 2008 Sta. Rita Hills, Ampelos, and Melville B-C pinots, this is the clear winner. Goes to show that these pinots show their best with at least a few years of bottle age.
