Saturday, April 28, 2012 - Beautiful, coiled spring of a wine. Subdued fruit, low extract, low alcohol. Lots of minerality and iron. Athletic and muscular, yet graceful. Lots of limestone and stong, yet balanced, tannins. Aromatics, herbs, spices and floral components dominate this mid-weight wine. Drinks like a sinew-y Burgundy. This wine is for those that appreciate Old World styled wine that focuses on terroir - not fruit or cooperage.
