Saturday, August 27, 2016 - We thought perhaps the sweet and slightly precocious '07 Montevertine had shown its best already, but the wine took a turn in another direction. It's definitely not fully developed yet. For the moment the aromas focus on sage, tobacco, earth, and black cherries. it is relatively warm and full-bodied, with lots of stuffing left for a longer future. No hurry at all to finish these lovely bottles.
