Sunday, May 17, 2015 - I've tasted this wine many times over the past 10yrs and it continues to be the epitome of Bordeaux. A beautifully styled, elegant wine that cannot possibly be mistaken as originating from any other region in the world. Opened with still a medium-dark colour, with amazing notes of earth, leather, cedar and spices. Still a great finish, 30 seconds+. I had the wine in the glass of the better part of an hour and it did not miss a beat. Having tasted this wine many times, the only criticism I'd render is that 20 years on the fruit is fading just a touch and the wine is not as well integrated as it used to be. Previous bottles I've tasted merit near-100 point scores. As one of the other posts said, this is absolutely one of Bordeaux's best producers, I dare anyone to taste it beside a First Growth and declare otherwise.
