Very closed aromatically on opening, but gradually opened up over a couple hr decant. The cab franc is evident on the nose, but the merlot... my wife, tasting blind, thought it was an acidic Italian chianti. This is simply not balanced at the moment. I will hold my next bottle until at least 2017. The finish is tannic and acidic.
