Saturday, July 22, 2017 - Lovely perfumes of raspberries, red cherries and violets, with Gevrey, feral notes, earth and cloves. Clean, crunchy, largely red berried fruit with some Gevrey wild berry. Also, dark chocolate, espresso and soil. Succulent 2008 acids. Real finesse and elegance. The silky texture and spherical tannins obscure the serious tannic structure (this is not a lean wine). A long, mineral finish. It is starting to drink well but, ideally, give it another two or three years at least.
