94 Points

Saturday, April 19, 2003 - Medium red. A totally different animal than its sibling. Wonderful scents of the bark from a tree trunk. Lots of cherry scents on the nose. Sublimely easy-flowing and light on its feet, yet in no way diluted or thin. Medium bodied, and soft. This wine is quite approachable now. Even sweeter than the La Tâche. Wonderfully structured. It seems that the limitations of the vintage didn't cause the wine-makers to over-extract or apply other means of beefing this up. Nice, long finish. Again, a harmonious wonderful wine.
