Tuesday, January 2, 2024 - From a Magnum. Cork intact with a bit of sediment attached. No 24 year old Pinot Noir should be so dark in color; Mr. Etzel what have you bottled? The nose is sun warmed fruit and aged strawberry preserves plus elderly fumes.
A complete taste, sweet fruit, gentle acid, afterthought of tannin. Not comparable to a Burgundy, too textured, fruity and strawberry rich. Nor comparable to Oregon Pinots, too generous and full of grace.
Sincerely regret I cannot share this Bottle with all readers - fellow passengers on the journey, tasting life's gifts sip by sip, glass by glass.
