Monday, February 13, 2012 - Great tasting wine for the price.
Nose is fruity with a slight hint of oak hidden in the background. The taste is fruit forward full of chocolate and cherries. The mouth is full and surprisingly complex for a wine of this price. The winemakers adeptly use the residual sugar to hide its minor flaws; its a bit sweeter than I would like it to be but that is what makes it so desirable to so many. Where's the Zin? -- its hidden in the wine but maybe that's why I like it so much; I love Zins and if I read the label correctly zin is the primary grape. A well done wine. I never thought I'd find a wine consistently this good for the price!
