Wednesday, February 23, 2011 - In opening and pouring this wine for others, the berry aromas float well above the glass, like they were waiting to be released. Wood and tobacco on the nose, smells far more complex than the berry cobbler that leapt from the open bottle. Perfect weight on the palette, rich and dense without being too big. The fruit, wood, and tobacco complement each other, each playing its own instrument in harmony, while the acid and tannins start slowly in the mid palette gradually growing not too loud for a smacky finish. I'm happy, can I have some more?
