89 Points

Tuesday, November 13, 2012 - I was pretty surprised by this showing. For one thing, I didn't notice even the slightest whisper of oak. And I was mentally preparing to compare this to the Hospices Beaune Grèves I had a few weeks back, but the two wines couldn't be more different. This is by far the lighter of the two, plush and red-fruited vs. deep and blue/black-fruited. I thought I caught some gravelly minerality at first, but it got absorbed quickly so there wasn't much going on here other than those soft red fruits.
