Wednesday, October 20, 2010 - The majority of the reviews are spot on. After a pop and pour, a half hour of air in the glass released powerful aromas of dark cherries, blackberries, a little earth, and lovely floral notes. Deeply concentrated fruit favors glide across the palate and leave hints of dirt and mushrooms. Also tons of cinammon spice on both the nose and palate. Love this style - I get the Italian terrior with lush, upfront fruit. Juicy acidity leads into a lengthy finish. Love it.
