Thursday, March 17, 2011 - 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in french oak for 1year and bottled without filtration. Deep garnet color. The nose is pleasant, not overly intense, but surely multi-layered. It opens with black currant, black cherry and plum along with notes cedar and vanilla. Full bodied and smooth;on the palate it shows great fruit intensity and balance, but it lacks complexity. A black cherry attack leads to some green tea notes with cocoa powder and vanilla on the finish. The tannins are vigorous and dusty. A simple, well made and modern french cab.
